Code School App Reviews

I pay for code school and I love it. The videos are great and the challenges are, well, challenging! Unfortunately the app is only the video part of the equation. I highly recommend the app, but if you want the full experience, go to their website. I hope the code wizards and CS figure out a way to incorporate the challenges in the app!

Im glad theyve made a place to review videos from my online lessons. I also understand why they havent made it possible to progress through courses in an app — developers dont code from mobile devices, so this seems pretty unrealistic. I only wish they also made the course notes PDFs available through the app. Its helpful to look at these when in the online classes, and being able to view them on my phone would eliminate the need to keep switching windows. I appreciate the clean, friendly user experience of this app. Good job, and hope to see more!

Sound would be a nice touch on the videos.

My Gmail login credentials dont work on the app but it works on the web.

Excellent content and presentation. Add the exercises and tracking from the web site and youll have a five star product. The app must be able to stand alone and operate disconnected from the network.

I love it! But...... Can you add lessons in: c++ and Lua? If you do I would give this app 100 stars (sadly I cant)

Maybe its just me, but I cant even get an account created. I get a vague message to try again. Days of trying yields nothing. Am I the only one?

This app seems like it would have been great if there had been an alternative to the videos that have no audio making them useless. The search for a way to learn to write code continues!

Its definitely a good introduction to coding I would just like to see what else you guys can do with this app!

Some must have improvements: 1. Remember the progress of a video. 2. Do not use a pop up window for the video player, since it goes away when you lock your screen. 3. Exercises.

This app is great! Its a really simple and convenient way to learn, and while I would like to see more lessons added, the current ones are versatile and a great way to begin! I would like to see a way to do the challenges on mobile though, since they dont all work on the mobile browser very well.

Sound works on iPhone but no sound on iPad? iPhone is too small to watch videos and I cant hear on iPad . Im not able to review something I Cant hear..

I have been following HTML videos on my computer and this site is truly very helpful in term of the quality of content. I downloaded this app yesterday so that I can study even on the go. It seems like the audio of the video does not work. I have an iPhone 6 and all other apps audio seems to work just fine. Not sure whats the problem here....

What would it hurt to let people know BEFORE downloading an app that you cant even open it without first setting up an account?

Dang talk about outa date... Went to the iOS path think I could learn some swift nope they are still talking iOS 7... Come on 9.1 is out

Weird to have lesson vids w/o lessons. Wheres the rest of your (non-lesson) content: Code TV, Soup to Bits, etc?

The app looks great and serves its purpose; however, none of the videos have sound so it is quite useless. Hope this issue get fixed in a future update.
